Biosok

Can absorb immediately contaminants up to the double of his own weight and can degrade much more over time.
The PRP in one BioSok can keep a bilge free of oil, odor an fumes - so only clean water is pumped over board. For most vessels, only a single BioSok is required for each season. In addition, boat owners with a BioSok in the bilge are in compliance with stringent EPA regulations enforced by the Coast Guard.

Measuring 7,62 cm in diameter, each BioSok is 24 cm long and contains 225 grams of PRP. When it comes in contact with oil, it immediately absorbs 400 grams of contaminant. It degrades much more oil over time and can last an entire boating season.

When the oil and the PRP have been degraded, the empty sock can be thrown in the trash. It's the quick, clean and easy solution.

The PRP in the BioSok consist of little treated wax spheres, which contain nutrients. When the spheres come in contact with oil it combines with the hydrocarbons. The nutrients of the sphere help the micro-organisms against the fluoridation of the environment which are consuming every drop of the oil.

PRP also is available as a loose powder for water leaks and in BioBooms for extensive leaks.

Bioboom

Bioboom contain a spreading spill while the PRP inside consumes the pollution in a sure and clean way. Whether the spill is in calm open water, marinas, holding ponds or lagoons, Bioboom hold the spill in place while the PRP works. When the oil is gone, the PRP degrades itself.

Each BioBoom is a sleeve of white fabric measuring 3 meter in length and 7,6 cm in diameter. Each BioBoom contains 3,2 Kg of PRP. When it comes in contact with oil, it immediately absorbs twice its weight in oil. It degrades much more oil over time.

PRP: A Solution

In a 1990 report, the U.S. Office of Technology Assessment estimated that after a major spill there is between 85 to 90 percent of the spill left behind in spite of valiant attempts at remediation. Now exists method to eliminate the contaminant oil in a sure and clean way.

PRP from Petrol Rem is a non-toxic substance which is sprayed on the spill so it floats on the top and bonds with the oil. Case Study : Abu Dhabi

A barge carrying 4,000 metric tons of fuel oil sank during a severe storm fouling beaches and a mangrove swamp along the Persian Gulf. The government of United Arab Emirates invited Petrol Rem to test our bioremediation technology on-site. The treated sections of oil-soaked beach and mangrove showed significant improvements over other areas that remained untreated.

Case Study: Mexico

Heavy oil spilled into a lagoon in Villahermosa, Mexico covering 95 percent of the water surface. Petrol Rem treated the water's surface and oiled soil along the shore. In only 18 days, Mexican authorities noted a significant reduction in oil volume on the lagoon's surface. After 26 days, approximately 75 percent of the spilled oil had been removed. Even though PRP is not intended for soil use, the contaminated ground also showed significant recovery in only three weeks.
